We are organizing the 2nd Turkish Classical Music night with TASNO Choir as well as Mr. Hasan Sarikaya on ‘baglama’, on May 16th Saturday at Abrash Gallerie, starting at 6:30. Light dinner and alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks will be served. The cost for this event will be $25. An earthquake hit the Turkish city of Van on October 23rd. 481 people died and 1,650 are injured in the 7.2 magnitude quake, according to Interior Ministry. Nearly 1,000 buildings were destroyed in the disaster zone, with the town of Ercis the worst hit where about 80 multi-story buildings collapsed. Ercis is an eastern city of 75,000 close to the Iranian border in one of Turkey’s most earthquake-prone zones .The death toll is expected to rise as outlying areas are reached.

As TASNO our hearts go out to those who lost their lives and their loved ones. TASNO has setup a Relief Fund to reach out a helping hand to the earthquake survivors. The Relief Fund setup by TASNO will help support Turkish Red Crescent to provide essential shelter, water and food to those who are affected in the area.
